Fluke Networks Acquires LoopExpert Technologies

Combined companies poised to deliver telecom service providers a more comprehensive set of local loop and workforce management solutions to help drive down costs and increase efficiencies in core wire-line businesses

EVERETT, Wash. and BRIDGEWATER, New Jersey – July 25, 2003 – Fluke Networks, a worldwide leader in network testing, monitoring and management solutions, and LoopExpert Technologies, Inc. announced today that Fluke Networks has agreed to purchase LoopExpert Technologies, a leader in Telecom Operation Support Systems (OSS) for proactive and reactive local loop management applications. Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The combined organization provides increased benefits and capabilities to customers in three main areas: better proactive maintenance of the local loop; more fully integrated reactive testing, troubleshooting and repair of the local loop; and more efficient workforce processes. Specifically, by combining the best of both organizations’ offerings, customers can experience increased flow-through provisioning, fewer repeat trouble calls and fewer technician dispatches and held orders, all adding up to increased efficiency and significant cost savings.
